The Universidade de São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP) holds an Academic Health Center, composed of the medical school and eight public hospitals, with over 200 independent research groups. This is the environment in which the scholar will be working and will be collaborating.

We expect the U.S. Fulbright Scholar to work enthusiastically with our work research groups, contribute to ongoing projects and identify opportunities for future collaboration between our center, the FMUSP Academic Health Center, and their university in the U.S. The scholar will participate in discussions with graduate students and post-doctoral fellows and participate in seminars of interest to the local community. We hope to initiate mutually collaborative international projects during their stay with us.
